Day 6: Ten of my favorite things!

1.       Shopping: I love shopping! Well, I know it’s a typical girl thing and there is nothing surprising that I do too.

 2.       Pugs: I absolutely love them. They just cheer me up! So much that there was this one time when a very special friend of mine sent me a video of a pug at his place just to cheer me up when we fought! And it worked every single time! ;)

3.       Movies & SITCOMS: Am a movie freak. I can watch a movie I love like 100 times repeatedly and still not get bored! Even my favorite SITCOMS, I have watched them all at least 5 times each.

4.       Long drives with good music: A simple evening spent, just on a long drive to nowhere and no talks but just good music! I could spend as many evenings like this and not get bored of it.

5.       Photography & Photographs: Photography and photographs can keep me engaged for hours! It refreshes me. I can keep clicking or looking at the photographs all day.

6.       Food & exploring new eateries: I am a total foodie. Hunger is my biggggg weakness!! I can’t even fast for a single day or skip a single meal! And if I do, you better stay away from me ‘coz you’ll find me in my worst of moods then.
I love exploring new places in town with beautiful ambience and music. (with good food, of course!) Bliss!

7.       Writing (expressing myself): Writing gives me the best time for myself. I love expressing myself. Am like an open book. Know me just the way I am. That keeps the things simple and well expressed! And things inside me I express them through writing here…my space!! J

8.       Flowers: I love flowers. Even a single fresh beautiful flower can surely make up for my mood anytime! The natural scent of the flowers and the colors make me just so happy!

9.       Spending time with my closed ones: It is very important for me to spend quality time with my closed ones. And to do so I can go extra miles but make time for them. It makes me happy more than any other thing could.

10.   Myself (Mein apni favorite hu!! Lol): You can surely call me self-obsessed! Yes, I do love me more than anyone else!

Day 5: My family

The title makes it sound like a kid's essay topic! I've tried my best not to make the content seem like it though!

Well, If ever asked about most important people in my life, I would not have to pause and think but say, it’s my family. These are the people that I know for a fact will be by my side when I need them, no matter what happens.
My parents are the ones that have given me everything from the 1st day I was born. They give up so much for me sometimes, and I couldn’t be more thankful for that.

My father is a business man. He is the most punctual man I know of in my life! From him is where I have learnt about honesty and punctuality. He has a really impressive personality since he plays lawn tennis every evening. He knows how to make time for work, himself, us and also his friends.
My mom, a simple house-wife, is a very soft-natured and caring person. She takes great care of us even today! She does not care for her comfort for us. I share a very friendly bond with my mom. I love to share all important stories of my life with her and doing that we grew to have a really strong relationship. I really enjoy spending some time with her.

I also look up to my 2 sisters. They are both older than me and married now. Those two are my personal role models that I look up to. They always have helped me out in times when I needed someone to tell me what they did in the similar situation! And we all three love to share clothes! That’s the biggest advantage of having sisters! Lol.
I am truely blessed to have such a great family. Even this day when we are together, we make it a point that we have our meals together every day.

Now that I look back at everything, I really miss it. So many things have changed since then. Obviously, I’ve grown up and things aren’t’ so easy anymore. That’s not all though, I really miss all my family.
It’s where I grew up and all my happy memories are! :)

Day 4: Favorite books

I know the topic is favorite books and am supposed to write about particular books and not the authors, but I kinda need to like the author first and then I eventually liked all the books by the authors I've mentioned.

Archie comic, I can say at least 90% (who read English) know about it.
The comic is known for its many series featuring the fictional teenagers Archie Andrews (the lead actor, just another guy at school), Betty Cooper (the girl next door), Veronica Lodge (the popular rich hottie of the school), Reggie Mantle (the rich brat) and Jughead Jones (Archie’s best buddy) at the Riverdale school.

This book reminds me of my school days. I had this library membership then and I used to read a book daily. When I was done with series of books present in girls’ library I did go to the guys’ library and get books on my father’s account! (Yes, I was that crazy!)

Sidney Sheldon is the 7th best fiction (and crime thriller) selling author today.

Yes, I'm a Sheldon fan and his were some of the earliest books I read as a teenager. More importantly, I love them even today. They may not be liked by most of the people today, but they were the best of their time.

His story lines are well paced, exciting with some spectacular twists, also memorable characters and certainly has that factor to keep the readers hooked and doesn't lag at any point. There are times, where the story becomes predictable, also some loop holes but still the stories managed to retain their charm and entertain.
“Tell me your dreams” is one of his best books that I’ve read.

Dan Brown is an American author of thriller fiction who is best known for the 2003 bestselling novel, The Da Vinci Code. Brown's novels are treasure hunts set in a 24-hour period and feature the recurring themes of cryptography, keys, symbols, codes, and conspiracy theories.
His books have been translated into 52 languages, and as of 2012, sold over 200 million copies. –Wikipedia.

Brown's novels feature the lead character Robert Langdon and are always based on Christianity, and as a result, have generated controversies.

I have read only two books of him till date, “The Da Vinci Code” and “Angels and Deamons”. And I have seen their movies too (liked the books better though, maybe coz movie wasn’t that surprising after knowing the whole story).
I have loved him so far and have taken up his recently published “Inferno”.

Day 3: Favorite TV shows

1. F.R.I.E.N.D.S:

It started in 1994, when I was just 4 years old, ended in 2004 when I hadn’t even started with it.
This is the first SITCOM I started with and I must have seen all the 10 seasons almost 15-20 times easily! (Not kidding!) I remember almost every dialogue of every episode now.
This is one with which many of us can easily relate to! The chemistry between the group of friends with a different culture though, who earn for their own living and stay together and all the fun that is shown makes it just so realistic!
I, myself can relate a lot to the character of Rachel Green. She’s a fashion freak, creative, confused, beautiful girl. Her relationship with Ross Geller was my favourite part of F.R.I.E.N.D.S. I love the song “With or without you” even more since then! I always knew that in the end those two will end up together! <3
Joey Tribbiani: When I think of Joey’s character, first thing that comes to my mind is “How you doing? ;)” The naughtiness in his character and smart looking dumb guy who plays a big time Casanova in F.R.I.E.N.D.S would be my second favourite character!

Phoebe Buffay would come next on my list! The weird character that she has portrayed in a really interesting way! She brought right touch of humour to the SITCOM.
Not to forget Chandler Bing & the chef as well as perfectionist Monica Geller!! Their characters were not as much of an interest to me but an important part of F.R.I.E.N.D.S I would say! The season, after which they become a couple, the SITCOM has taken a different turn.
Well, I could just keep writing over this one but I better keep it SHORT! ;)

2. Bring On The Night

Each character in this one was equally important and interesting. Arjun Mathur (as KD, the smartest one), Patrick Graham (the firangi), Hussain Dalal (Devang, typical gujju guy) and Sarang Sathaye (Maakad, the tapori gunda).

When this SITCOM was to be aired, there were these lines on MTV website about it, which I loved: “WHEN THE SUN WILL SET, SOMETHING BRILLIANT WILL ARRIVE!
A SHOW ABOUT A WOLF PACK OF FOUR FRIENDS WHO CREATE A PLACE WHERE THE NIGHT COMES ALIVE – ALL NIGHT, EVERY NIGHT”

It is about how KD and his friends come together and turn a 200-year-old heritage building in Mumbai into an all-night hangout club. There are only 10 episodes in this one but those are all 35min long each! And each one is just so interesting!!
A must watch!!
